  1. Level 1 · FOUNDATIONAL

    Certified Slop Practitioner™

    Exam SLP-F01

    For anyone who has attended a meeting about AI. Validates an overall understanding of slop, independent of any specific deliverable.

    Recommended experience: Six months of exposure to slop in any setting, including LinkedIn.

    Certified Slop Associate™

    Exam SLP-A02

    For practitioners who produce slop from a template. Validates the ability to produce the same slop twice.

    Recommended experience: One year of hands-on slop, or one template.

    Certified Slop Professional™

    Exam SLP-P03

    For slop owners with a glossary and a review step. Validates advanced skill in describing your slop process to a vendor.

    Recommended experience: Two years of slop in a production environment, and Level 3 on the Slop Maturity Model, which you are.

    Executive Hallucination Specialty™

    Exam SLP-S04

    For practitioners who deliver to boards. Validates the ability to state things as facts and pre-empt the follow-up. Ranked above Professional because it is more specific.

    Recommended experience: One deliverable read standing up.

  5. Level 5 · SOVEREIGN

    Certified Slop Sovereign™

    Exam SLP-X05

    The highest credential we issue. Validates in-region, bilingual slop with apologies pre-dispatched. Includes a practical component and a commemorative plaque, eventually.

    Recommended experience: Four consecutive quarters without a follow-up question from the board.

How certification works

  1. 01

    Take the course

    Short lessons drawn from the Slop Best Practices Handbook and the Glossary of Terms We Invented. Estimated time: 14 hours. Actual time: less.

  2. 02

    Pass the exam

    Ten questions, proctored by an agent and scored from 100 to 1,000. The passing score is 720. Most candidates score above the maximum.

  3. 03

    Earn your credential

    A certificate with your name on it, a credential ID that verifies at slopware.ca/verify, and a badge for your LinkedIn profile.

Frequently avoided questions

Do I have to start at Practitioner?

Yes. Each level requires the one below it, which we check in your browser. If you clear your browser, you are a beginner again. We call this recertification.

How long is a credential valid?

Three years, or until summarized.

Is there an exam fee?

The exam fee is $150, waived, plus a Slop Sovereignty Surcharge of 1.3% on the waived amount, also waived. No card is required. We will not ask for one.

Are Slopware credentials recognized?

Slopware credentials are recognized by Slopware, the industry body for Slopware credentials.

Can I fail?

The exam is designed so that no candidate fails. Several have tried.

Do you store my name?

No. Your name is used to print your certificate in your browser and is never sent to us. Your credential ID does not contain it, which is why verification confirms the credential and not you.

Slopware credentials are self-assessed, self-issued and self-renewing.
